Getting A Commission Quote

BASIC NEED TO KNOW

Hi! And thank you for your interest and inquiry. I’ve set up this step-by-step process to assist you in inquiring about a quote for a commissioned portrait. You will find the base prices in “STEP TWO”. Prices can go up depending on number of individuals in a portrait, creative add-ons and desired background detail. All pricing includes the drawing of at least one person, a selection of one of my standard background colors, the cost of US standard shipping (there’s a fee for shipping outside the US), and the Mat Display Frame that your portrait will arrive in. All bookings, upon approval, require a non-refundable deposit of half the amount of the price of purchase. You will also have the option to pay in full if you wish. I look forward to working on your commission!

Please be advised, you must be 18 years or older to book a commission

STEP ONE- CHOOSE A REFERENCE PHOTO

This is often times the fun part! Though this step can be skipped till you get a quote, it is important to know exactly who you’d like a portrait done of.

When selecting a reference photo of yourself or a loved one posed in a way you’d like for the portrait, try to select a photo that has nice clarity and good lighting for the best possible quality.

Please let me know in your inquiry if there will be more than one person in the portrait, as that will affect the price quoted.

STEP TWO- SELECT A SIZE

Please refer to the “Size Chart” below to help you determine what size you’d like.

I offer 3 general sizes at different prices, but I welcome requests for custom sizes and will happily provide you with a quote for that size.

Here is a list of the starting prices for the general size options:

8in x 10in - 300 USD (No more than 2 individuals in the portrait.)

11in x 14in - 450 USD

18in x 24in - 900 USD

*Again, please keep in mind that these are base prices and do not reflect fees for additional persons in a portrait, detailed backgrounds or any particularly custom additions (Ex. The addition of angel wings, fantasy applications like elf ears, robotic limbs, etc,.).

STEP THREE- CHOOSE A BACKGROUND

Gotta love a background to help your portrait stand out even more! Here’s a list of options to choose from. If you’d like a gradient of two shades or if you’d just like it to be Artist’s Choice, that’s fine too!

  • Off White (Color of the Paper)

  • Light Gray

  • Medium Gray

  • Dark Gray

  • Gradient (Medium to Light Gray or Dark to Medium Gray)

  • Charcoal Black

  • Artists Choice

Detailed backgrounds such as cityscapes or outdoor scenery can be done at an additional price.

STEP FOUR- SEND AN INQUIRY

Now that you have an idea of how you’d like your commissioned portrait to look, you can send me an inquiry below so that I can email you a proper quote on your piece. Please have your reference photo(s) set aside and ready to send me upon my reply. Thank you so very much!
